Unfortunately, the anchor was melted down and reconstituted into gold costume jewelry for “The Heights Players” upcoming rendition of “The A-Team”. Apparently, the director is obsessed with having life-like gold chains for Mr. T’s character.

More retail news: walked by the former Great Wall on Henry Street, and it’s being painted. Worker said the place had been rented, but didn’t know anything more.

Love the green paint details. And you could actually read the Borough Hall tiled signage (which today is half missing).

    A message from the BHA:

Support Design Build at February 9th Promenade Rally

The BHA has made passage of Design Build authority for the upcoming BQE Reconstruction Project its highest priority this spring. We’re working closely with Senator Brian Kavanagh and Assembly Member Jo Anne Simon to promote its enactment.

The NYC Department of Transportation made clear the urgency of the Design Build approach by announcing in December that if the BQE Reconstruction Project is not completed by 2026—which will only be possible with Design Build—DOT will likely have to divert 16,000 trucks daily from the highway onto local streets starting that year. This will be an unmitigated disaster for Brooklyn Heights and communities throughout Brooklyn.

Governor Cuomo did not include Design Build authority for the BQE as one of his legislative priorities this session. To promote its passage, Sen. Kavanagh and Assembly Member Simon are sponsoring a rally at the Montague Street entrance to the Promenade on Friday, February 9th at 10 AM.

Attend the rally on February 9th and send a clear message to Gov. Cuomo and the Legislature that Design Build for the BQE is needed now.
