The Danish Seamen’s Church, 102 Willow Street (just south of Clark) will hold its annual Christmas Market on Saturday, November 18 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Shop unique scandinavian design, knitware, gift items, holiday ornaments, danish candy, and traditional food products for the Christmas Dinner. Or bite into delicious “æbleskiver” (puffed apple pancakes) – a traditional christmas treat that all Danes give out at any social gathering through the holidays, and sip on hot glögg – the Danes’ take on the mulled wine served in our covered cozy backyard at the Danish Seamen’s Church on 102 Willow St from 11am to 6pm.
The restaurant at Plymouth Church on 57 Orange Street will dish out Danish traditional fresh baked goods, a variety of open-faced sandwiches known as “smørrebrød”, and hot dogs from 11am to 4pm. A tip – for an authentic Danish hot dog experience order your dog with everything!
Admission to both of the Market locations is free.
