Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Vicinity

Apart from the absence of 2 and 3 train service in both directions between Brooklyn and Manhattan, meaning no service at Clark Street (as Dodgers fans of yore said, “Wait ’til next year!”) this weekend (11:30 PM Friday, September 22 to 5:00 AM Monday, September 25), but with 5 trains (which don’t usually serve Brooklyn on weekends) taking their place, and from there being no G train between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Church Avenue, there are no planned cancellations, route diversions, or station skips directly affecting service at any local stations.

The following work week, each late night (11:45 PM to 5:00 AM) from Tuesday, September 26 to Friday, September 29, 4 trains will originate and terminate at the Brooklyn Bridge station in Manhattan. Since 5 trains don’t serve Brooklyn at night, this means no service at the 4/5 platforms at Borough Hall. Both 2 ad 3 trains will be running during these hours, and for those traveling into Brooklyn, the 3 will be making all 4 stops.

For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, and for unplanned disruptions, see MTA Info.
