Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Vicinity

This Saturday, June 10 promises to be challenging for Heights subway riders. Once again, starting at 11:45 PM on Friday, June 9, there will be no service in either direction on the 4/5 line at Borough Hall, or on the A/C line at High Street. 4 trains (5 trains don’t serve Brooklyn on weekends) are ending and originating at the Brooklyn Bridge station in Manhattan, and A and C trains are being diverted to the F line in both directions between Jay Street-Metro Tech and West 4th Street. Barring unforeseen events, service should be normal on the 2/3 line at Clark Street and Borough Hall, and on the R and (late night) N line at Court Street. One blessing: these service changes end at 5:00 AM Sunday; not, as usual, at 5:00 AM Monday. Service should, again barring the unexpected, be normal on all lines this Sunday, June 11.

The following work week, there will be no service from Manhattan to Court Street from 11:45 PM until 5:00 AM each night from Tuesday, June 13 to Friday, June 16, as Brooklyn bound N trains (which replace the R late at night) are being diverted over the Manhattan Bridge between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.

For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, see MTA Info or The Weekender.
