Subway Service Alerts; Brooklyn Heights and Vicinity

Post-Sandy repair work on the A/C tunnel continues this weekend, so the diversion of A and C trains to the F line between Jay Street-Metro Tech and West 4th Street, meaning no service in either direction at High Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday, March 24 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, March 27. Repair work on the 4 line in the Bronx means no 4 trains will be running this weekend, but 5 trains, which don’t normally serve Brooklyn on weekends will take their place, meaning there will be service to and from the 4/5 platforms at Borough Hall. To get to or from locations in Manhattan below West 4th (other than the LES stops on the 5 line) use the 2 or 3 to or from Clark Street or Borough Hall, the N or R to or from Court Street, or the 5 to or from Borough Hall.

The following work week, each night from !1:45 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday, March 27 to Friday, March 31, Manhattan bound A trains will be diverted to the F line between Jay Street and West 4th, so there will be no Manhattan bound service at High Street. All other trains should, barring unforeseen circumstances, be operating normally.

For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, see MTA Info or The Weekender.
