Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Nearby

Post-Sandy work takes a heavy toll on service at local stations this weekend. From 11:45 p.m. Friday, March 10 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, March 13 there will be no 4 train service in either direction (and 5 trains don’t serve Brooklyn on weekends). During this same time, A and C trains in both directions will be diverted to the F line between Jay Street-Metro Tech and West 4th Street. This means no service at High Street. To get to or from stops in Manhattan below West 4th, you’ll need to use the 2 or 3 trains to or from Clark Street or Borough Hall, or the R or (late night) N to or from Court Street.

The following work week, each night from 11:45 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday, March 13 to Friday, March 17, Manhattan bound A trains will be diverted to the F line between Jay Street and West 4th. To reach lower Manhattan from the North Heights during these hours, use the 2 or 3 from Clark Street.

For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, see MTA Info or The Weekender.
