Notify NYC advises us that there will be a fireworks display tonight (Friday, November 25) starting at 10:00. The fireworks will be launched from a barge off the Liberty Warehouse in Red Hook, so they will be to our south, instead of east as usual. They may not be easily visible from the Promenade, though they will certainly be audible throughout the Heights. They may also be seen from rooftops or south facing windows in tall buildings. It is not included in the list of legal fireworks displays approved by FDNY, so we don’t know who is sponsoring it.
