Bargemusic’s weekend begins Friday evening, October 28 at 8:00, with an all modern concert featuring tenor Paul Appleby (photo) and pianist Natalia Katyukova doing works by Richard Hundley, Ned Rorem, Russell Platt, Harold Meltzer, Gabriel Kahane, John Harbison, and Nico Muhly. On Saturday evening, October 29 at 8:00, pianist Ursula Oppens will play works by Scriabin and Carter. On Sunday afternoon, October 30 at 4:00, soprano Jane Leibel, violinist Mark Peskanov, and pianist Maureen Volk perform works by Mozart and Schubert. Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
