Pratt Institute’s 3rd Annual Green Week: March 30-April 4

A solar powered musical performance

Don’t miss out on Pratt’s Annual Green Week Celebration.  This year’s program includes gallery exhibits, competitions, talks, films, hands-on activities, and much, much more. Whether you’re interested in sustainable materials, transportation options, environmental justice, Pratt has something for everyone.

All Green Week Events are FREE and open to the public.  Most noteworthy:  DOT Free Bicycle Helmet Giveaway this Tuesday.  DOT has agreed to distribute and custom fit helmets free of charge.  This may be particuarly interesting to parents because children’s heads grow so rapidly.  They will have all sizes available, including todder.  The giveaway is 11am to 3pm in front of Pratt Studios on the main campus.

Additional events on Tuesday include a performance by a solar-powered band SOLAR PUNCH.  They will be making music from 12pm-2pm in the same location as the helmet giveaway.  Light snacks will served.  Friday is a good day to attend as well because there will be both a Free Market and a Green Market hosted on the campus.  From 11am to 6pm, vendors from various local organizations will sell green and sustainable foods.
