Author’s Night Celebrates Reading, Benefits Neighborhood School

The P.S 8 PTA will hold it’s annual author’s night on Monday, October 24th from 7:00 – 10:00 pm at Superfine in Dumbo.  The organizers are calling this year a “truly babysitter-worthy event.”

The theme is “Gr8 Parenting” and features New York Times columnist Ron Lieber, author of the best-selling “The Opposite of Spoiled: Raising Kids Who Are Grounded, Generous, and Smart About Money,” and Newsweek science editor Paul Raeburn, author of  “The Game Theorist’s Guide To Parenting and “Do Fathers Matter? What Science Is Telling Us About the Parent We’ve Overlooked.”

P.S. 8 Dad, Andrew Perloff of The Dan Patrick Show is on deck to host and moderate. A panel of P.S. 8 authors/parents will share their stories as well.  Tickets are a suggested donation of $35 online and $40 at the door.  All proceeds from this event will support P.S. 8 and sponsor students in the school’s Readathon, ongoing through November 13th.
