I’m late with this. Blame it on a heavy non-blog work schedule, all the excitement over Leo the cat and his safe return, or election campaign madness. Nonetheless, I’m owning it. The fact that no one has complained, on OTW or otherwise, suggests its absence wasn’t noticed, and there is a fairly simple DIY option here. Still, from time to time readers have commented that they find it useful, so for now I’ll keep posting it. Here we go:
Once again this weekend, which now means until tomorrow (Monday, October 10) at 5:00 a.m., and despite the MTA’s earlier assurances, A and C trains running in both directions are being re-routed to the F line between Jay Street-Metro Tech and West 4th Street, so there will be no service at the High Street station. This will continue late nights (11:45 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.) the following work week (Monday, October 10 to Friday, October 14); note that although Monday is Columbus Day, trains will be running on a normal work day schedule. For stops in Manhattan below West 4th, use the 2 (the 3 will not be running this weekend or late nights the following week) from Clark street or Borough Hall, the 4 from Borough Hall, or the R or (late night) N from Court Street. For those traveling into Brooklyn, the 4 will make all 3 stops between Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and New Lots Avenue.
For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, see MTA Info or The Weekender
