Bargemusic’s weekend starts early, with a Thursday evening (October 6, 2016 at 8:00) theremin (photo) and piano concert, “Alternate Universe for Piano and Theremin”, performed by Rob Schwimmer. On Friday evening, October 7 at 8:00 pianist Tamara Orlovsky will play works by Scriabin, Liszt, Ravel, and Balakirev. On Saturday evening, October 8 at 8:00 cellist Martti Rousi>Martti Rousi will present Part I of “The Six Cello Suites by Bach.” Part II will be presented on Sunday afternoon, October 9, at 4:00. Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
