This Friday evening, August 19 at 8:00 Bargemusic will present the St. Petersburg Piano Quartet, along with winners of the Leopold Auer International Competition performing works by Vivaldi (image), Bach, Bizet/Waxman, and Brahms. On Saturday evening, August 20 at 8:00, the St. Petersburg Piano Quartet, minus the prizewinners, will play works by Juantio Becenti, Mozart, and Brahms. On Sunday afternoon, August 21 at 4:00, cellist Jeffrey Solow will perform the second and last in his two part series of the complete cello sonatas of J.S. Bach. Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
