Watchtower Headquarters Complex Sold; Office Development Planned

The Eagle reports that a joint venture, including Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner’s company and two others, has closed on the purchase of the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ headquarters complex, for a reported sum of $340 million. The buyers intend to “turn it into an office campus.”

    This is great news for anyone worried about PS 8 overcrowding. Also, office space there will create more restaurants and services in the DUMBO area.

    I have noticed a very large reduction in the number of overly-well dressed families and people walking around the north Heights of late, and I seldom see the workers coming back to Columbia Heights from a day hard at work in upstate NY, building the new HQ.
