Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Vicinity

Weekend problems continue on the 4/5 and A/C lines because of Sandy related tunnel repair work. From 11:45 p.m. Friday, August 5 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, August 8 there will be no service in either direction at the 4/5 platforms at Borough Hall, as 4 trains will terminate and originate at Bowling Green in Manhattan, and 5 trains do not serve Brooklyn on weekends. During the same time period, A and C trains running in both directions will be diverted to the F line between Jay Street-Metro Tech and West 4th Street, so there will be no service in either direction at High Street. For service to or from Manhattan, use the 2 or 3 to or from Clark Street or Borough Hall, the R or (late night) N to or from Court Street, or the A or C to or from York Street or Jay Street-Metro Tech.

The following work week (Monday, August 8 to Friday, August 12) there are no planned cancellations, route diversions, or station skips directly affecting service at any local stations. For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, see MTA Info or The Weekender.
