Post-Sandy repair work resumes on the 4/5 line this weekend. From 11:45 p.m. Friday, June 17 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, June 20 there will be no service in either direction at the 4/5 platforms at Borough Hall, as 4 trains will terminate and originate at Bowling Green in Manhattan, and 5 trains do not serve Brooklyn on weekends. From 11:15 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday there will be no G train service in either direction between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Church Avenue, but A and F trains will provide alternative service, although note that Coney Island bound F trains will be running express during this same time. Late nights (11:15 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.) the following week, Monday, June 20 to Friday, June 24, G trains also will not run in either direction between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Church Avenue; A and F trains and free shuttle buses will provide alternative service. During the same late night hours that week Manhattan bound A trains will be diverted to the F line between Jay Street-Metro Tech and West 4th Street, so there will be no Manhattan bound service (C trains do not run late at night) at High Street. During these hours, catch the A at Jay or down the hill at York Street in DUMBO, or take the 2 from Clark Street or Borough Hall, the 4 from Borough Hall, or the N from Court Street.
For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, see MTA Info or The Weekender.
