This Friday evening, June 17, at 8:00 Bargemisic presents the Sirius Quartet (photo) performing a concert of contemporary works, including one by quartet member and composer Gregor Huebner, and an arrangement of his of a piece by the 17th century Englisn composer Henry Purcell. They will also play works by Jeremy Harman, Fung Chern Hwei, and Charles Ives. For the more classically minded, on Saturday evening, June 18, at 8:00 and Sunday afternoon, June 19, at 4:00, a quartet consisting of violinists Johnny Gandelsman and John Marcus, violist Max Mandel, and cellist Raman Ramakrishnan will play works by Mozart and Schubert. Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
