On Friday evening, June 10, at 8:00 Bargemusic will celebrate the 78th birthday of New York resident composer Charles Wuorinen (photo, with his cat Lepton, by Nina Roberts). The Aeolus Quartet, joined by pianist Ursula Oppens, will perform his works. On Saturday evening, June 11, at 8:00 the Horszowski Trio will play works by Schumann, Joan Tower, and Mendelssohn. On Sunday afternoon, June 12, at 4:00 the Aeolus Quartet will return to perform works by Schubert and Puccini. Details for each concert and buy tickets here.
Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
