Cats With Mats: Sunday Yoga at the Brooklyn Cat Cafe

Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition’s very own cat cafe opened last weekend to brisk business  (full post to come on that soon), entertaining visitors of all ages who have packed the place at 149 Atlantic Avenue, only too happy to hang out with cats and kittens in the cozy space.

But on Sunday morning (May 15) at 9:30, both humans and felines will have a chance to take a deep breath with the cafe’s first “cats with mats” yoga session.

Luisa Noelle Howell, a certified personal trainer and yoga guide, will lead the 45-minute class, to which you should bring your own mat.  The cafe will open at 9:00 for a little pre-yoga feline fun.

Little yogis are welcome to participate in the class if accompanied by adults. All children present during the class will be expected to participate in it.

The class costs $25 and tickets can be purchased at the cafe’s website. Follow the cafe on Facebook for information on upcoming events.
