Tomorrow (Friday, May 13) evening at 8:00, at Bargemusic, the pianist Alan Feinberg will present Basically Bull, a concert of works by John Bull, a seventeenth century English composer whose life included not only brilliant musical composition but also fistfights, adultery, and possibly espionage. The concert will also include works by Bull’s Elizabethan era contemporaries Tompkins, Byrd, and Gibbons. On Saturday evening, May 14, also at 8:00, and on Sunday afternoon, May 15 at 4:00, Bargemusic’s Artistic Director Mark Peskanov, on violin, along with other musicians, will perform works by Brahms, Dvorak, and Schubert. Details for each concert and buy tickets here.
Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
