    I’m surprised that whoever is running this obnoxious not hasn’t noticed the flood of articles, web sites and posts on the explosive spread of face recognition, the lack of any controls legal or otherwise, who gets access to the collected data (try everybody who wants access) and the huge constitutional issues involved.

    Tell your dumb as rocks not to scan the February 16 issue of Consumer Reports (is that publication PC enough for you?)
    Try page 43 “Ghost in the camera” .

    If that article and the dozens of other published protests on the subject don’t penetrate your attitude, perhaps they will benefit the
    decent people reading this, who’s safety and rights are being seriously threatened by this growing out-of-control monstrosity.

    I shouldnt ignify the above with a response but:
    Regarding The American Free Press; the only people in general who find the publication “sick and offensive” are: One Worlders, far left types either 60’s /SDS stale left over’s or old commies from the 30’s-early pre McCarthy 50’s who are still alive, a few post aids gays Let’s kill every Palestinian crazies, UES NGO let’s make policy out of sight and out of the reach of the taxpayers types, let’s rewrite the constitution as we please types, treaty law over rides constitutional law, let’s do away with the second amendment types, let’s do away with personal transportation/global warming is holy writ types. Losses in WW2 are involate to question/pay attention to only my loss and ignore everyone other’s losses types….all patriotic programs and sites should be put off the air and banned from the internet because (we say it’s) “hate speech’speech” types

    Yeah, those types don’t like AFP, but the vast amount of normal sane middle Americans have no objection to it or the many other patriotic publication presently in wide circulation in this country.

    If patriotic publications like the AFP are so bad, why do they enjoy the number of subscribers they do in the Heights and surrounding areas?
    I have access to the subscriber lists in 11201, so we know….

    And as to the “outing” of me as some kind of evil influence in past years. Let’s say that was actually true, its a fabrication and a deliberate distortion of what in reality occurred, but let’s say it’s completely, actually true. Who at this point cares? Only a tiny number of opposing ideological types. The vast majority of people in and out of the Heights could care less. Hey I GIVE OUT copies of the WORST THINGS DH and other great lights said about me. People have a laugh and go on with thier lives…what do you think that somehow alters their world view or opinion of me? Of course not because:
    A) No One in the general normal population/public at this point,
    CARES about something like this anymore. They have a LOT more
    important things people have to be concerned with given what’s
    Whats going on n this country and…
    B) a lot of people far from being repelled, are attracted. Sadly, it’s a
    kind of political porn which people love to read and then rub
    shoulders with the evil doers named. No normal person revels in
    or solicits that, but you do run into that effect unfortunately a lot.

    So I advise those who comment here that they can continue to attack and protest but it does little or no damage, at this point, protests like these have all the effect(s) of a wet firecracker……

    If you go to Bruno’s, be sure to save the receipt until you are sure the keys work. The keys they cut often don’t and no refunds without a receipt.

    As of mid-afternoon on Sunday, or two-plus days before a new Open Thread will (assumably) be created, there have been over 150 comments. skb received four recommendations for an eye doctor, with some useful feedback about one in particular. StudioBrooklyn posted a couple pictures. A local podcast used this forum to (try and) draw traffic. karen reached out for help finding photographs of a specific location at a specific time. AEB received three suggestions and a follow-up comment about where to get keys made. And a couple posts about compstat, and to a lesser extent some of the preceding topics, led to madness. I was, to be honest, amused by a good deal of it but other than feeding certain commenters’ narcissism, what purpose did it serve? I mean, I just summarized 156 comments in 103 words (net of my admission that there is an entertainment component).

    Clearly The American Free Press is not offensive to you. As for me, I don’t fit any of the “types” you describe yet I find it offensive. Here are a couple of titles of publications off their website: “The Synagogue of Satan”, “Nobody Died at Sandy Hook”
    The first title is about how Jews supposedly control the world, the second about how the Sandy Hook massacre was a government engineered hoax to promote gun control. So Jeff please tell me, what is your opinion on those publications?

    And I have asked members of my family and friends not to respond to any bots. As such after today, unless an important delivery of info to the public, I am going to greatly restrict response to your chatter.
    Because, as noted elsewhere, it doesn’t matter what you say/charge/
    alledge/state. NO ONE outside a very tiny sector CARES! No one is deturred from interacting with me, examining my advocacies, or judging my character. What you put forth, especially from such a source, has all the danger and impact of a wet firecracker. So if you want to continue your juvinile wardance you can, but don’t expect it to have any real effect.

I don’t like racist cowards and I don’t like half-baked, paranoid conspiracy theories, thus I will refute your nonsense and bigotry as long as you post it.

    Some care, yeah, all two or three types like yourself. And as far as being some kind of a coward, I don’t see you or any of your friends on the street giving out patriotic literature, showing up at public events to speak or say, showing up at certian marches and demonstrations confronting various vermin who are trying to tear this country down. And, the casino crowd? They sit nice and safe at home and throw rocks on the internet. This reminds me strongly of that Stephenson guy in WWII Washington and his endless tissues of lies, but Now all these types are getting more and more upset, because less and less normal Americans are susceptible to their nonsense nationally…or here in the Heights. This is like if, say, Stokley Carmichael reappeared and began using the R word to explain and denounce everyhing. would anyone care? You and your type are a dying breed.

    I see, people begin to bring forward some genuine reality, a group of well, casino and PC types don’t like it and mount efforts to attack or blur the facts, but though a (created) fracas erupted, a LOT of hidden truth is made available to the public…and some droll type appears at the very end and decides that the entire process, “led to madness” sure, what a wonderful accurate analysis by an great mind. I and others honestly brought crital facts and insights forward for the first time in public view and….here comes some droll type to just dismiss it all with some throw-away line.

Who, upon our investiga- tion, was found to be half, well, you know all about your friend don’t you. This is why, by the way, the Heights Press “decided” not to cover the incident. Because we had uncovered the background of the real person involved. And that would put a certain group in a really bad light, so the HP decided over Bob S’s strong objections to drop the entire matter…..THAT’S the real history here….

Wow, some guy who did the Amount of drugs I and my neighbors saw used is now going to be my surgeon? Yipe! Or defend me against serious charges or have un- supervised access to my kidskids? Boy are those great Ideas…

    And it settles all questions of history if they attest to your contrived version of the era. Sure.
