Meet Yungman Lee, Challenger to Incumbent Congresswoman Velazquez, at Friend of a Farmer Thursday Evening

NOTE: This post has been revised to reflect a change of venue. Yungman Lee (photo), lawyer, former state official, bank executive, and public health advocate, has declared his candidacy for the Democratic nomination to the U.S. House of Representatives from New York’s Seventh Congressional District, which includes Brooklyn Heights. He is challenging Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez, a 23 year incumbent who is the Ranking Member of the House Small Business Committee and a member of the Financial Services Committee.

Mr. Lee will be at Friend of a Farmer, 76 Montague Street, this Thursday evening, March 10, starting at 6:30 for a “meet and greet”.  All are welcome. The Primary Election will be on Tuesday, June 28.

    “Challenging?” Hardly. “Running against.”

Well, it depends on his finding, the new and better ideas he brings to the table and what he may unearth in the behavior and background of the incumbent.

One thing’s for SURE the behavior of her staff towards Heights people has been
    NO help to this representative.

She pledged to keep LICH open at Da-Blazio’s press conference at City Hall. She promised that she would open a “civil rights” complaint in Federal Court if Long Island College Hospital was closed.

The hospital was closed, and Nydia folded on her promise. Time to retire, Nydia. You are useless.

All you have to do is go up her office on court street and you’ll have to fight your way through layers of inner city street attitude before you get a very limited measure of help. Guess what their attitude towards Brooklyn Heights (read white) people is…..

There is a lighter side to all this though. When her picture first began being circulated via the press the “word” began being circulated that she had already been a representative of another district BEFORE to her election here! Prior to this she hsd been therepresentave from Area 51….😠

Say NO to Nydia. She has done nothing.

While you were busy thrashing about in your bubble Velazquez sided with president Obama and beat back an attempt to block the U.S. and the rest of the developed world as it reached an agreement that will ensure Iran’s nuclear program will remain peaceful. On that policy point alone she has my vote.

I predict that the incumbent will out-poll Mr. Lee by a ratio of 4-to-1.

    Dream on.
