Tony and Emmy winning singer and actor Lillias White, who has performed on Broadway in, among others, Dreamgirls and Romance in Hard Times, and on Sesame Street as Lillian Edwards, will give a free concert, “From Brooklyn to Broadway”, at St. Francis College Auditorium, 180 Remsen Street, on this coming Monday, March 23, from 12:30 to 1:30pm. This event is part of the College’s celebration of Women’s History Month. All are invited, and no reservation is necessary.
Also at St. Francis, on Tuesday, March 24, from 4:30 to 6:00pm, novelist and Brooklyn resident Darcy Steinke, author of Jesus Saves, Milk: a Novel, and Suicide Blonde, will read from her new memoir, Easter Everywhere.
