Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Vicinity

It’s a double whammy weekend from 11:45 p.m. Friday, November 13 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, November 16 on the subways. Once again, post-Sandy maintenance means the A/C tunnel between Brooklyn and Manhattan will be closed in both directions, so A and C trains will be running on the F line between Jay Street/Metro Tech and West 4th Street, and there will be no service at High Street. At the same time, there will be no 4 train service in either direction between Brooklyn Bridge and New Lots Avenue. This means no service on the 4/5 platforms (5 trains do not serve Brooklyn on weekends); for those traveling into Brooklyn, 3 train service is being extended to New Lots. Your options to and from Manhattan are the 2 or 3 at Clark Street or Borough Hall, the R and (late night) N at Court Street, and the A, C, or F at Jay Street and York Street.

The following week (Monday, November 16 to Friday, November 20) there are no planned cancellations, route diversions, or station skips directly affecting service at any local stations. For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, see MTA Info or The Weekender.
