Join our good friends from the Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition and Perfect Paws this Sunday for the annual Howl-O-Ween Pet pet parade and adoption event on the Promenade.
Fresh off the sucess of Brooklyn’s first cat cafe, the BBAWC will host a pet parade from 11 am to 5 pm–scary, funny, or spectacular, your pet’s costume will be judged by celebrity panelists for a chance to win great prizes from local donors–thanks to all the local businesses who have supported this community event.
Proceeds benefit the rescue work of BBAWC and Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue. Pet contestant tickets are $25 and raffle tickets are $5. Both can be purchased online. You can also register your pet on-site on Saturday.
The parade will begin at 1 pm, with winners announced at 3 pm.
If your feline would like to participate but eschews the chaos of the live parade, she can participate from home! Send a picture of your cat (or any other pet) in a costume and BBAWC will post it on their gallery page for judging.
The day will also feature entertainment and activities for kids and pets, including face painting, a doggie photo boot, and vendors. Adoptable pets will also be a part of the festivities, so come out to fight a furever friend to add to your family.
Check out some of the prizes on the Raffle Prizes page.
To make both events a success, the BBAWC is seeking volunteers, along with raffle and prize donations. Please contact kmanchester306@gmail.com if you can come come out to help or have a prize to donate.
More info on the event’s website, and follow BBAWC’s news on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, because of course you can use more cute animal photos in your life.
Have a happy Howl-O-Ween!
