Two Events at Brooklyn Historical Society This Week

On Wednesday evening, September 30, starting at 6:30 the Brooklyn Historical Society will present New York Times antiques columnist Eve Kahn moderating a discussion among a panel of distinguished scholars and writers on the topic “Lost, Found, and Stewarded: Collecting Stories of African American Civil War Soldiers.” Admission is $5; free for BHS and Green-Wood members. You may purchase or reserve tickets here.

On Thursday evening, October 1, the Orchestra of St. Luke’s (photo) chamber ensemble will present, as part of their “Subway Series,” a free concert at BHS. Seating is on a first come, first served basis. If you can, please bring new or slightly used art supplies to donate to Cool Culture’s drive to provide art experiences to city kids. Melt Bakery will provide ice cream.
