On Saturday evening, August 29 at 8:00 and Sunday afternoon, August 30 at 4:00 Bargemusic will present works by Haydn, Mozart, and Dvořák performed by Mark Peskanov on violin, Vladimir Mendelssohn on viola, Edward Arron on cello, and Jeewon Park on piano. Looking ahead to the following week, on Wednesday, September 2 there will be the first concert in Bargemusic’s “Here and Now Labor Day Festival,” featuring works by contemporary composers, including John Zorn (photo), played by a distinguished collection of musicians. This Saturday afternoon, August 29 at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. You may take a free guided Brooklyn Bridge Park tour by going to the Pier 1 entrance near the foot of Old Fulton Street at 11:00 a.m. Sunday. Looking ahead to Wednesday, September 2, there is the next Wednesday Night Tour, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at the entrance to Pier 1 near the foot of Old Fulton Street. The subject of this week’s tour will be “Fall Landscape Drawing”; it will be led by Artist and Teacher at Brooklyn Brainery and CUNY, Elysa Lozano. Tickets are $10, or $5 for Conservancy members.
