As part of its 75th anniversary celebration, the Brooklyn Heights Garden Club is sponsoring a window box contest open to all residents of Brooklyn Heights or Cobble Hill. Contestants may enter more than one kind of planting; flowers in window boxes, containers, and tree beds are all eligible. You must choose a category: either “I did it myself” or “a professional helped me.” Entry is free; the deadline for entry is Wednesday, May 27. Judging will be on Tuesday, June 2 and winners will be announced on Thursday, June 4.
Entry forms are available at the Brooklyn Women’s Exchange, Floral Heights, James Weir Floral, or Seaport Flowers. You may also email your name, address, phone number, category, and type of planting to the Club at bhgc1940@gmail.com
