Actor, former firefighter and firehouse preservation champion Steve Buscemi will introduce a screening of Symbiopsychotaxiplasm Take One,
…a groundbreaking 1968 film by the legendary African-American filmmaker William Greaves that blends fiction and documentary and remains one of the most insightful deconstructions of filmmaking to date.
The screening will be at the Brooklyn Historical Society on Monday, February 2 at 6:30 p.m. Following the screening, filmmaker Su Friedrich will moderate a discussion with with Richard Brody of The New Yorker and Shola Lynch, Curator of the Moving Image and Recorded Sound Division of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture.
