There’s heavy maintenance work on the 2 and 3 lines in both directions this weekend–11:00 p.m. Friday, November 14 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, November 17, so during this time there will be no service in either direction at Clark Street or on the 2/3 platforms at Borough Hall. To get to or from Manhattan or into Brooklyn, use the 4, 5 (the 5 doesn’t normally serve Brooklyn on weekends, but this weekend it will), R, or N (which replaces the R late at night).
The following week, Monday, November 17 to Friday, November 21, R train service will end early, at 10:00 instead of the usual 11:00, and N trains, which normally serve the R route late at night, will not run between Manhattan and Brooklyn, so there will be no service to or from Manhattan at Court Street or Jay Street/Metro Tech during these late night hours. There will be N service between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., when R service resumes, between Court Street and Stillwell Avenue. Also, if you’re traveling into Brooklyn, be aware that, from 11:45 p.m to 5:00 a.m. Monday to Friday, the 2 and 4 trains going in that direction won’t be stopping at Bergen Street, Grand Army Plaza, or Eastern Parkway. To get to these stations, you’ll need to ride to Franklin Avenue and catch a Manhattan bound train back to the skipped station.
For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, see MTA Info or The Weekender.
