NY Post Talks to Brooklyn Heights Locals About 50 Cent’s Power Production on Halloween

The NY Post reports on Brooklyn Heights locals’ reaction regarding the 10 hour Halloween shoot here fro 50 Cent’s TV series “Power”. (Apparently they folks at the Post have been reading BHB.)

The BHA’s Judy Stanton tells the paper that the production company should “know better” about shooting here on days like Yom Kippur and Halloween.

The production took over many streets in the North Heights on Friday morning. Did you run into any issues with your kids while Trick-or-Treating?

NY Post: “Halloween is a huge deal in this neighborhood,” said Francesco Nuccitelli, co-owner of Sociale Brooklyn, an Italian restaurant on Henry Street. “Regulars get frustrated. They waste an extra hour looking for parking spots, so they don’t go out to dinner.”
A spokeswoman for the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment said the “Power” crew planned to film most of its exterior shots during the day before moving inside to interior locations as trick-or-treaters started hitting the streets.

Another beauracrat who sounds like a moron.

Not to sound like a moron, but we have bureaucrats here in NYC. I guess in the wilderness of Bucks County they’re called “bear”-uracrats!

Well, there are ways to stop or greatly limit
    Film types from disrupting neighborhoods
And or the livrs of average taxpayers..many
    Communities nationwide have limit the
    License “creative” types feel themselves
As having. Even a simple distribution of
Well written high impact flyers focusing
    Community displeasure with film types
Can send a very strong message to
Behave while they are here. Local elec-
Ted officials should be required to adopt
A hard position on what and what isn’t
    Acceptable behavior. And, there comes
A time (a early time) with ANY part of
    The entertainment industry that judicial
    Intervention is simply necessary…unless
You want your neihhborhood and family
    To be door mats.
