On Sunday, October 26, join the good folks at Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition to celebrate Howl-O-Ween and support some local animal welfare organizations.
Perfect Paws (102 Hicks Street) and Vinegar Hill Veterinary Group are sponsoring a “Muttsquerade” parade and photo contest at the Remsen Street entrance to the Promenade from 1 – 3 pm.
Dress up your mutt and win prizes donated by local stores and vendors; the winners will be announced at the Vinegar Hill Vet Clinic in DUMBO (57 Front Street) at 4:30 pm, followed by after-party drinks and noshes.
Have a pet (like a cat) that would prefer not to mingle with the hoi polloi? This year, all pets can enter through a photo contest in lieu of appearing in person.
To participate in the Pet Parade or the photo contest, purchase your ticket online or sign up at Perfect Paws at 102 Hicks Street. Additional information will be provided once you have signed up.
Tickets are $25 and benefit BBAWC and the Friends of Hillside Dog Park; an adoption van with adoptable pets will be set up at the north end of the Promenade.
