#SaveLICH: Ambulance Diversions Set to Begin Thursday

As the drama at Long Island College Hospital continues to unfold, ambulances will start being diverted to other hospitals starting Thursday (5/15).

NYDN: Medics responding to 911 calls in Brooklyn Heights, Boerum Hill, Red Hook and Cobble Hill will have to trek to distant facilities, including Lutheran Medical Center in Sunset Park and Kings County Hospital in East Flatbush. It’s the latest closure announcement in a string of ongoing threats for the hospital — due in part to talks with a top bidder that collapsed earlier this month.

I absolutely blame the Governor for this yr+ long travesty but Im giving the mayor the benefit of the doubt & expecting him to pull through & not let LICH become his very own St Vincent’s.

I feel extremely betrayed by our community boards, mayor and governor

I have written off Cuomo. He’s obviously sold us out for the real estate interests. As for deBlasio, it’s wait and see. We won’t forget!
