Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Vicinity

Once again we have sevice in both directions at all local stations this coming weekend (Friday evening, May 9 to Monday morining, May 12). No 3 trains will be running from 11:30 p.m. Friday until 5:00 a.m. Monday, but 2 trains will be running, so there will be service at Clark Street and on the 2/3 platforms at Borough Hall. Those traveling to or from the interior of Brooklyn should know that, during this same time, 2 trains will not be operating beyond Franklin Avenue; free shuttle buses will provide alternate service. Also, during this time, 4 trains will not be operating between Barclays Center and Utica Avenue/New Lots Avenue. 2 trains will provide service between Barclays Center and Franklin Avenue; beyond there, it’s the shuttle buses.

The following week, from 11:45 p.m. Monday to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, and from 11:45 p.m. Tuesday to 5:00 a.m Wednesday, Brooklyn bound A trains will be diverted to the F line between West 4th Street in Manhattan and Jay Street/MetroTech. This means no service from Manhattan to High Street these two late nights (there is no C train service during these hours). You may either get off at York Street in DUMBO and walk up the hill, or ride to Jay Street and catch a Manhattan bound A back to High Street. To get back from Manhattan below West 4th, take the 2 to Clark Street (the 3 will not be running late at night all week) or the 2 or 4 to Borough Hall.

For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, see MTA Info or The Weekender.
