State Senator Daniel Squadron, whose district includes Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, DUMBO, Carroll Gardens and other Brooklyn neighborhoods, along with lower Manhattan, will host his sixth annual Community Convention at Seward Park Educational Campus, 350 Grand Street in Manhattan (Delancey Street stop on the F train), on Sunday afternoon, April 27, from 2:00 to 5:00. These Conventions have featured speakers, including the Senator and other elected officials, on current topics of interest, as well as break out groups in which attendees can discuss their particular concerns. According to the Senator,
…every year, hundreds of community members join to make their voices heard on issues from education and public transit to affordability and emergency preparedness. Working together, we’ve made a real difference in our community and in our state.
