Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Vicinity

From 11:30 p.m. Friday, March 28 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, March 31 there will be no G train service between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Church Avenue. F trains will provide alternate service. G trains will be running every twenty minutes between Bedford-Nostrand Avenues and Hoyt-Schermerhorn. At the same time, there will be no 3 train service in either direction, but 2 trains will be running, so there will be service at Clark Street and on the 2/3 platforms at Borough Hall. Apart from that, there are no planned changes affecting service at any local stations.

The following week, there are several planned changes affecting late night service at local stations. From 11:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. each night Monday, March 31 to Friday, April 4, A trains will not run between Jay Street-Metro Tech and Utica Avenue. Shuttle buses will provide alternate service. During the same hours each night Brooklyn bound F trains will be diverted to the A/C line from West 4th Street in Manhattan to Jay Street, so there will be no service from Manhattan to York Street in DUMBO. Use High Street as an option, or take an A, C, or F to Jay and change to a Manhattan bound F there back to York. To get to Brooklyn from Lower East Side stops on the F (East Broadway, Delancey, Second Avenue, and Broadway-Lafayette) take an uptown F to West 4th and change to a Brooklyn bound A, C, or F there (from Broadway-Lafayette you have the option of taking a downtown 6 local to Brooklyn Bridge and taking a 4 train from there to Borough Hall). During those same late night hours, 4 trains will be running in two sections, with the change at Brooklyn Bridge. So, if you’re taking a downtown 4 or 6 train from above Brooklyn Bridge, you’ll have to get off there and change to a Brooklyn bound train, which will be on the uptown platform.

For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, see MTA Info or The Weekender.
