Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Vicinity

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, March 21 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, March 24, Manhattan bound F trains will be diverted to the A/C line from Jay Street-MetroTech to West 4th Street in Manhattan. This means no service to Manhattan from York Street in DUMBO, so walk up the hill to the High Street station, or catch a Brooklyn bound F to Jay Street and change to a Manhattan bound F there. To get to the Lower East Side stations on the F (East Broadway, Delancey, 2nd Avenue, and Broadway-Lafayette) take the A, C, or F to West 4th and change there for a Brooklyn bound F (for Brooadway-Lafayette you have the choice of taking the 4 from Borough Hall to Brooklyn Bridge and changing there to a 6 local to Bleecker Street, which connects to the Broadway-Lafayette station). Otherwise, there are no planned cancellations, route diversions, or station skips that directly affect service at any local stations this weekend.

The following week, late nights from 11:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday to Friday, the A train will not run in either direction between Jay Street and Utica Avenue. Shuttle buses will provide alternate service between these stations. There will be no 3 trains running–although 2 trains will be–between 11:45 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Monday to Friday. For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, see MTA Info or The Weekender.
