The Brooklyn Papers Police Blotter reports a December 26 incident in this week's edition:
A man breaking into a Jeep on Clinton Street turned his violence on a Brooklyn Heights man walking home on Dec. 26, cops said, but still ended up empty-handed.
As the 54-year-old victim neared the corner of Aitken Place around 11:15 pm, he saw two strangers standing near ared Jeep with bags of bottles ontheir shoulders. A woman stood near the driver’s side, and a man peered through the passenger-side window — and suddenly broke the glass.
At that point, the thug turned around and report beat the man with a "metal object", injuring his jaw. Cops are searching for a 30 year old, 6 foot 1", 190 pound black man.
The paper adds the police suspect that the thug and his moll may also have been involved in an robbery earlier that evening on Livingston Street. In that crime, a young couple were robbed of $150 from a skell wielding a 9mm pistol and matching a similar description.
