Next Tuesday evening, October 29, from 6:00 to 7:30 Brooklyn Law School will present a panel discussion, “Good Council: Representing Brooklyn,” featuring the incumbent, Stepehen Levin, and three former–Ken Fisher, The Hon. Abraham Gerges, and David Yassky–City Council Members representing the 33rd District, which includes Brooklyn Heights and nearby neighborhoods.
Join us for an insider’s discussion, moderated by Professor David Reiss, on the history of the district and the public policy conflicts our panelists have faced in representing it. They will focus on how government responds to dynamic change, the limits of governmental action, and initiatives that have shaped the district to be at the heart of the new Brooklyn.
The event will take place in the Law School’s Moot Court Room, 250 Joralemon Street. Admission is free, but you must register here before Friday, October 25.
