On Tuesday, October 22, starting at 7:00 p.m. the Brooklyn Historical Society, in partnership with Green-Wood Cemetery, will present “Pushing Up Daisies: Trivia from the Dark Side,” an evening of “grave” trivia hosted by trivia masters Stuart and Chris. The event will be held in the newly renovated Great Hall at the Society’s historic building at 128 Pierrepont Street (corner of Clinton). Admission is $15, or $10 for BHS members, and includes one drink. Tickets can be purchased here.
Thursday, October 24 brings a ribbon-cutting and a beer garden. At 5:30 p.m. there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of the restoration work at the Society’s building. Afterward (you don’t have to be present for the ribbon cutting to enjoy this) will be the Society’s final Beer Garden of 2013.
Brooklyn Brewery brews will be flowing, Shake Shack custard will satisfy your sweet tooth, and Sigmund’s Pretzels will fulfill your salty craving. The talented 1in2 duo will provide the musical entertainment (hear their skills here), and we are removing a rare autograph book from its archival case revealing signatures from such greats as Washington Irving, Henry Ward Beecher and Nathaniel Hawthorne!
Admission to the Beer Garden is free; drink tickets, sold at the event, are $5 each.
