DUMBO Post Office Is A Mess

A BHB reader sent us this photo of the United States Post Office outlet at 84 Front Street in DUMBO. It shows a floor littered with envelopes, labels and other postal detritus. “What a waste and a shame,” our tipster says.

She’s not the first person to notice how utterly unkempt the outpost is, as once Google reviewer notes:

One of the dirtiest post offices you will find. The main reason is that there is only an automated machine – nobody actually works there. It is just one room with the robot and a few supplies.

    This is what happens when lazy, unsupervised government bureaucrats get involved in any services, whether the postal service, the IRS, the SEC, you name it. And these slugs are going to take over our health care? Please just let me die on the emergency room rather than let me fall under the care of these neanderthals.

    Why can’t the adults that use the facility keep it clean by tossing paper in trash bin? If everyone would clean up after themselves it would not be such a mess.

    That really goes to show you the difference between Brooklyn Heights and DUMPO. They have no respect for their neighborhood and they have no class–just like they have no trees!

    I guess you are fortunate not to have to visit the Post Office regularly.
