    Excessive…
Some day the city will truly audit this tax credit. And we’ll find out what a Bloombergian scam it really was. If we are going to pump tax payer dollars into something not commercially viable without them why not prop up the investigative journalism model by buying newspaper subscriptions. Hostages? Ugh. More crap I will never watch being passed off as a public good.

What exactly are you talking about?

    Let’s play 3-card Monte.

  • mjc3200

Looking for a recommendation for a contractor who is reliable and knowledgeable in CoOp renovation and combining of apartments.

DIBS, you beat me to the punch…

Okay, I’ll be the dealer :)

    Best to search Brownstoner.com.

Kleen Construction did a gut reno of our apartment including adding a loft and an external balcony. Not only did they do excellent work, they also were very adept at navigating the co-op issues. Plus they are located in the neighborhood. http://kleenconstruction.com/

    Guessing film tax credit.

You mean that the CBS TV show “Hostages” is kicking cars from NINE blocks of parking in BH?

  • north heights res

And Law & Order: SVU has grabbed a couple, too. Unbelievable that all these permits are approved with so little disregard for the people who live and work here.

  • north heights res

Oops, so little regard, not disregard.

  • Monty

Honestly, I’m guessing more BH residents will watch this show than park on the street. I think the fact that the government has paid for thousands of miles of paved roads means you don’t really have a right to complain.

Approximately 47% of NYC households own a car (that number probably higher in this more affluent area). I doubt 47% of households are going to watch that idiotic TV show.
The roads were paved by our tax dollars so I, we have every right to complain.

Ack. It didn’t post the pic of 15 blocks this crew claimed they were blocking off for two days. I guess it was nice of them to stick it to my door. But they were incredibly rude.

And it has nothing to do with parking. I don’t even have a car here anymore. Its everything to do with the obnoxiousness of these crews…and the dubious local benefit of a corporate welfare plan of this size.

If you’re also looking for an architect recommendation (you’ll need to file plans w/the city if combining apartments), Adi (gershonistudio.com) is very reasonably priced and efficient.
