It’s on! The 40th (plus) annual Cranberry Street Fair, happening this year on October 5 starting at 11:00 a.m. It’s fun for the whole family – including a performance by nabe jazzman Eric Loffswold who has jammed with, among others, the King of all Italian-Americans Danny Aiello.

The Cranberry Street Fair is coming to Cranberry Street between Hicks and Willow
Streets on Saturday, October 5 from 11 AM to 3 PM.
Enjoy many of our traditional activities and some new ones. The schedule looks like this:
From 11 to 3: Live cool jazz with Eric Loffswold.
12 to 12:30 the ever-popular pet parade sponsored by Rocco and Jezebel. All species
welcome. (If not a pup, please put it in a container of some sort unless it’s stuffed.)
12: 30 to 1:30 Mimi Fontana will return with her Manhattan Tribal Belly Dance troupe
for a performance and a lesson.
2 to 2:30 Cranberry Street Yoga for all ages with Jemilla.
2:30 judging of the Cranberry Bake Off (original recipes—must have cranberries.)
Please deliver entrants to the site in the morning.
3:00 Raffle: items include memberships in cultural institutions and donations from local
businesses.

Roving photographer: your pic in Victorian dress in front of a Victorian brownstone
Fire Engine118, the 205th ladder; children board unless it’s otherwise engaged

Contests: Count the Cranberries; Guess the Weight of the Pumpkin
Face Painting, Children’s Games, Pumpkin Painting and Balloons for little ones
On sale: Books, Treasures, and Fleas ( contributions may arrive early in the day)
Gorgeous Autumnal Plants and T Shirts with the Cranberry logo by James Childs
All proceeds go to our Brooklyn neighborhood’s greenification
