In town for the holiday weekend? Bargemusic has a Labor Day Festival concert, featuring works by many composers performed by many musicians, at 8:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:00 p.m. Sunday. Details about the music and musicians are on the Bargemusic website. On Saturday afternoon at 3:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, program and musicians TBA. The doors open at 2:30; it’s first come, first seated. More info and buy tickets here. Forward-looking alert: starting the following weekend (September 7-9) Bargemusic will change its usual concert starting times to 7:00 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 4:00 p.m. Sundays. “Music in Motion” will still be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
