Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Vicinity

The 4 train won’t be running below the Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall station in Manhattan (and the 5 train doesn’t run to Brooklyn on weekends; this weekend the 5 won’t be running below Grand Central) from 11:45 Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday. This means no service in either direction on the 4/5 platforms at Borough Hall. The 2 and 3 should be running normally, and there will be more service than normal on the R/N line at Court Street and Jay Street-MetroTech, as N trains, which normally replace the R late at night, will be running local all weekend, and R trains should be running normally as well. Manhattan bound A and C trains will be diverted over the F line between Jay Street and West 4th Street, so from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday there will be no Manhattan bound service at High Street. Use the 2, 3, R or N as options for Manhattan below West 4th.

The following week, from 11:45 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday to Friday, there will be no Manhattan bound service at Court Street or on the R/N platform at Jay Street.

For diversions, cancellations, and skipped stations that don’t directly affect service at local stations but may affect your travel plans, see MTA Info.

Thank you for this Claude. I couldn’t find any notices about this at Borough Hall today and the Weekender just started showing this today.
