Meisee, I agree 100%, but feel like I need to point out that when you order delivery, they take FOREVER to arrive (I’m in Concord Village, so it’s not exactly that far away).
We had I.C. delivery tonight (fried oyster appetizer, sashimi appetizer, California and monkey rolls) and it arrived barely fifteen minutes from the phone call. We’re at Montague and Pierrepont Place, so a bit of a hike from Clark and Henry.
Is anyone else anxious for FIOS to start servicing our area? I have just about had it with Time Warner. They charged me twice, two days in a row this month, and I had to call them to credit my account. Ridiculous. Does anyone know when it will become available?
$275/mo to park outside on Washington St.
Thanks Two Trees for taking it over, re-arranging the parked cars format to handle a lot more cars, and raising the rate $50. Greedy.
My folks have FIOS in NJ and they regret changing from Cable. I have “driven” the remote and it seems slower and harder to manage. Maybe it’s different here.
I need to get some prints framed and usually go to the folks on Montague Street–but I was thinking of trying the folks up on Hicks Anyone know whether the prices/quality are comparable? Is one much better and/or more expensive than the other?
Yes, Browning is great. She is very meticulous and uses very high quality framing materials. She isn’t as cheap as the places on Montague, but if you have an important piece and want it done to the highest archival standards, Browning is the one.
Anyone not watching the Superbowl? I’ve always been a football fan, yet I’ve long sworn off devoting those Sundays to the game (or games) as a regrettable waste of valuable time. The extent of my involvement is checking my blackberry periodically for the scores. I suppose Superbowl can have a more social element to it but still all in all I’d rather do something else.
Don’t know about a place in Brooklyn, but DOCs (Beth Israel) at 22nd/23rd Street @ 7th Avenue in Manhattan is open 7 days a week. They have more locations throughout the city.
When is the Superbowl? Tee hee – I’m pleased to say I didn’t know it was today until yesterday’s paper. I have a band rehearsal anyway – clearly no football fans there. It’s about as interesting as watching ice melt.
There appears to have been an accident on montague and henry around 3:30 today. Does anyone know what happened? That street intersection is very dangerous. I saw a black SUV and a body on the ground with paramedics and the fire department all around.
Incidentally when I was crossing hicks st, a white SUV almost ran me over when it turned right on a red light.
Howdy.
I love Iron Chef! Their dishes can compete against Manhattan’s trendiest restaurants yet their prices are so reasonble.

Why is there so much dog poop left on the sidewalks these days. Do the dogwalkers/owners not care anymore? Is it the snow? Clean up after your pets!!!

Does anyone know what a monthly spot costs in one of those Dumbo garages?

Browning Frames and Prints on Cranberry is great. Tell ‘em we sent you!

Thanks, my2cents; I’m not looking for archival quality, just something that will look decent in my living room.
So what’s going to move into the WAMU branch on Montague and how long do you think it’ll remain vacant?
Got a letter in the mail today from WAMU/Chase today telling me that my bank was moving down the block to the Chase and Clinton location.

Are there any walk-in clinics or doctors with Sunday office hours?

Any one know why the A/C has been delayed so much lately? Seems like the AM trains were running late every day in Jan. Perhaps it’s just me.
