Poplar Street “Open Garden” Next Saturday

Correction: Your correspondent has major egg-on-face. The Open garden is next Saturday, June 22, not today. The Poplar Street Community Garden, located at the northwest corner of Poplar and Hicks streets, is having an “Open Garden” event Saturday, June 22 from noon to 3:00 p.m. The event will feature a beekeeping show-and-tell, a celebration of the garden’s new “Little House” (photo) built by the gardeners, refreshments, and live music. It’s free!
