Erin Boyle Finds Things Rosy in Brooklyn Heights

On my walk this morning, I stopped to admire (and snap) these yellow roses in front of 80 Joralemon Street. Brooklyn Heights is rose heaven, according to Heights resident Erin Boyle in this post in Gardenista, who writes:

Since we moved into our tiny apartment in Brooklyn Heights two years ago, I’ve been enjoying something of a love affair with my neighbors’ roses. Beginning in early June and cropping up again in September, this neighborhood has the most glorious display of roses I’ve seen anywhere.

The post includes many photographs of gorgeous roses now in bloom around the neighborhood. Enjoy!

Wednesday, June 5th was Rose Night at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, a mere 5 or 6 subway stops from BH. There are thousands on display there in the Cranford Rose Garden, and admission is free on Tuesdays!
