Video after the jump. St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church, Clinton and Montague Streets, will hold a “Barn Dance and FUN-raiser” this coming Sunday, June 9, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. (enter at 157 Montague). The dance will be called by Dave Harvey of New York City Barn Dance (see video).
The Barn Dance in the church’s Parish Hall will be fun for the whole family. Tickets will be sold the day of the event and are $50 per person or couple with children. Burgers, dogs and soda are included. Beer will be for sale.
Funds raised will benefit St. Ann & the Holy Trinity and Episcopal Charities of Long Island.
The Rev. John Denaro, Priest-in-Charge of the church, noted that this fall, the Parish Hall and the building above it will be closed for long-overdue renovation. He said, “We want to make use of the Parish Hall while we can. The Barn Dance is an opportunity to celebrate this space, which, along with our sanctuary, has been hallowed ground for worship, performance, protest and play over the generations. We hope everyone who likes to dance or wants to try will join us.”
