As reported earlier this month, the stretch of Cadman Plaza approaching an exit ramp that offers drivers BQE access is being made more pedestrian-friendly. A curb extension (or “neckdown”) is being added at the southeast corner of Middagh Street and Cadman Plaza West, while a new sidewalk is being installed between Middagh and where the exit ramp feeds out to Old Fulton Street.
Currently, pedestrians have no way to safely continue down the east side of Cadman Plaza West toward the Brooklyn Bridge underpass.
